Good afternoon!! I was very happy to come across the My Creative Time challenge hosted by Emma. The challenge is to make a "Pinterest Inspired Project". When pinterest first came out I thought there was no way I was going to join, well guess who joined?!?!? I am so glad I did (well most of the time) there are so many great ideas on there, from food, weddings, home decor and crafts!! The reason I say most of the time I am glad I joined is because the time can seem to slip away from you when you are on there!! I decided to also join the Little Scrap Pieces "Fun Friday Challenge, Make it Sparkle". I know everyone is doing Halloween cards and crafts but I am not big on Halloween so I decided to get a head start on my Christmas cards.
Here is where my inspiration came from Pinterest and the Blog Post.
What I Used:
My Creative Time : All Around Christmas
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black
Tim Holtz Distress Stickles: Peeled Paint
Gel Pens
EK Success Corner Rounder
Hole Punch
Ribbon
Buttons
I changed the shape of the card and added a few more elements to the card so that it wasn't exactly the same.
Hop over to both blogs and see the inspiration and join in the challenges!!
Have A Great Day!!
God Bless!!

A New Technique
Good Morning!! My parents are gone for the weekend and my daughter loves being in the craft room which is good because I still have a birthday card for my dad to make!! Tuesday night my parents went out to celebrate their anniversary. My daughter wanted to go into my craft room. Earlier that day I had come across a YouTube video that someone had posted on facebook. The title caught my eye so I thought I would watch it. Boy am I ever glad I did. You can watch the video HERE . I though since it was fresh in my head that I would try it out.
What I Used:
My Craft Spot: Birthday Wishes
Clear Dollar Stamps : Roses To Die For
Distress Inks: Milled Lavender, Bundled Sage, Aged Mahogany
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Blossom Four
Green Ribbon
Pearls
If you haven't watched the video yet (Although I really suggest you do) this was alot easier then it looks. You take the back of your clear stamp and ink it using the distress ink and I just randomly stamped it on the cardstock. Then wash it off and flip it over to the side you normally would stamp and using the black ink stamp right over top of the coloured image!! Amazing, I never would have though of using the back of a stamp!! I plan on using this technique alot as it is way easier then colouring in your images!! I hope you have learned a new technique. Thank you Jane from Jane's Doodles for posting the video on your facebook!!
Have A Great Weekend!!
God Bless!!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad
Good Morning!! It is good to be back after 17 days of not posting (sorry)!! I have busy with work and trying to find more kids to take in as we are loosing two more because of maternity!! I have also been working with my daughter on spelling and sounding out letters. she has been doing pretty good but she does have a stubborn streak in her (I have no idea were she got that from LOL). I won't be posting as much as I had been as I just don't have the time to craft!! Today gives me the perfect chance to post though, it's my parent's 30th Anniversary and I made a card for them (had to go back to one of my previous cards for inspiration as I have been in a slump lately). They are going away for the weekend to a bed and breakfast and then hopefully in January they will head to somewhere warm for a week!!
What I used:
Clear Dollar Stamps : Tabs & Tags
Little Scrap Pieces : Blue Crinkle Ribbon
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Cuttlebug Die: baby set (hearts)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Victoria
Sizzix Embossing Folder: Retro Circle by Tim Holtz
Gems
I should be back in the next few days with some thank you cards that I had made before I went on holidays.
Have A Great Day!!
God Bless!!

Sister's Birthday Card/Science Centre
Good Morning!! Well I have had the last week off of work but unfortunately I have been sick most of the time. I came down with a sore throat and sinus pain but I believe I am at the tail end of it. I made the best of our holidays and I still have three days left until we start babysitting again!! While on holidays the baby in the family celebrated her 19th birthday!! Since I have given her the card I can now post it.
What I Used:
My Pink Stamper : Sweetest Cupcake
Martha Stewart Punch: Classic Butterfly
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Labels eight
Ek Success Corner Rounder
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Stickles: Diamonds
Ribbon
Gems
I used two of my sister's favourite things on this card, purple and butterflies! we spent her birthday at the Ontario Science Centre and learned some really cool things especially cool ways to use bubbles.
Who knew that all you needed was water, dish soap, glycerin and your hands to make bubbles!! Below is the recipe to make these yourself.
I have found a YouTube Video that show how to do it (note he just uses water and dish soap in the video)
Bubble Blowing With Your Hand
Here is another link that will shows you how to do the second picture
Bubble Blowing Tricks
We are going to try this with the daycare kids this coming week!!
On a funny note, we asked my daughter what her favourite part of the Science Centre was and this was her response "the bathroom". One of the bathrooms had two toilets, an adult size and a little kiddy one, as well as a small sink and a small mirror. My daughter thought this was the greatest thing!! Pay all that money and the highlight for her was the bathroom!! LOL
Have A Great Day!!
