Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge:Fantasy Land

Good Morning! Today is another Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky with K Andrew. The theme is Fantasy Land, up to your own interpretation. Again this week I decided to go with the literal and made a card with a mermaid on it. I have seen lots of pocket cards and so I searched on Youtube and found a few but decided to use the same technique as I did with my bookmark, you can see that post HERE. I used a 6x6 piece of paper and did the same fold.

I added the corner piece to a 4x4 card that I had embossed the front using Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. the mermaid is cut from Once Upon A Princess Cartridge at 3". I used Stickles-Crystal on the top of the mermaid and the swirls. The face is from the PeachyKeen-Everyday Character Face Assortment using Memento ink:Tuxedo black. I then ink the hair using Color Box Chalk ink:Yellow Citrus. For the insert I took a piece of paper and inserted it into the pocket and then cut it so that it tucked away into it. I then took my Spellbinders Nestabilities:Label Eight and cut the smallest one out and cut it in half and added it to the back of the insert for a tab. Last but certainly not least I added my sentiment which can be found on the stamp set "Pirate Tales & Fish Scales" and "Food For Thought" By K Andrew Design using the Memento ink:Tuxedo Black.

Now it is your turn, design a card, layout ,3d item ect. and link it up to Getting Cricky With K Andrew and don't forget to check out what the other design team members have created.

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless

Kristan

  9. I really like the pull-out tag you made for this. D'vine Swirls is one of my favorite folders, but I have never stickled the swirls. Great idea!
