Good Morning, wow this week is almost over. On the weekend before I lost Internet I came across a blog called Stampin' Sisters in Christ. They had a birthday hop to celebrate 3 years and they also have a challenge using the following bible verse to create a birthday card:
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
The first thing that came to mind when I read this scripture was butterflies. They start out as caterpillars and transform into beautiful butterflies. Much like us we start out as sinners and when we ask Jesus into our hearts and lives we are "born again".
What I Used:
10 1/2 x 4 3/8 piece of card stock
scored at 1 3/8, 3 1/2, 7
Fold the 1 3/8 up to create a pocket, add the ribbon and adhere
Outside: Dark Purple: 4 x 3 1/8, Light Purple: 3 1/4 x 2 1/2
Inside: Dark Purple: 4 x 3 1/4, Light Purple: 3 3/8 x 2 1/2
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Butterflies in Flight
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps : Bethany's Birthday Wish
Ribbon
Martha Stewart Punch: Classic Butterfly
Perfect Pearls: Forever Violet
Ok so I decided to get away from the A2 cards for a bit and created this card/gift card holder. I was actually inspired from Michaels Craft Store. I was in there on the weekend and saw their invitations and decided to create my own but instead I made it a birthday card. I really like how it turned out. I had never worked with Perfect Pearls before but it was alot easier then embossing powder. There are several YouTube videos floating around on how to use the Perfect Pearls.
You have until the 8th (maybe 9th) sorry it doesn't say I am just going by the link at the bottom of there post to link up!!
Have A Great Day!!
God Bless!!
