Card For Emily

Good morning!! I am so thankful that there is one more day left in this month, I am just cutting it close with getting this card posted!! Michelle from Scrappin' For Kenzie had a blog hop and asked people to make a card for her niece Emily who has Leukemia and link it up to her blog. You can read Emily's story if you click on the link above. I read her post to find out what Emily likes to incorporate it onto the card. I still have to write in the card and type up the poem for it and then it will be sent in the mail.

What I Used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Amazing You
Create A Critter: Horse 2.5
Once Upon A Princess: Background for Emily's name 1.2"
Cupcake: Emily's name 1"
Memento ink: Sweet Plum
3 Girl JAM: Witch's Brew Crinkle Ribbon
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Kitchen Diamond
Ek Success Corner Rounder
Purple Gems
Iron on beads from Fabric Land

Amazing You Buy HERE

Ok so for this card I made a tri fold card and put Emily's name on the outside as well as the ribbon, when you open that flap you will see the horse and the sentiment and when you open that flap (sry no picture) you will see the Foot Prints In The Sand Poem  that I have yet to print out and put inside.

Although today is the last day to link a card to Michelle's blog you can still make a card for Emily and mail it to her. I am sure that her and her parents would appreciate all the love and support!! You can click HERE to find the mailing address.

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless

This was my second time making a criss cross card (the first one I never posted, it was just a sample to see how to make it) I found a video on YouTube on how to make them. Because it was so long ago I don't have the link for it but if you search criss cross cards you should find some. For the flower I came across it on The Paper Variety, mine is alittle different as I used more circles and I put mine on the nestability, if you click on the link you will see how to make it.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone on the Design team for such a great term, you are all so talented and really amazing women. Kristal thank you for putting together such a great team of ladies and for your amazing stamps. I have been blessed to be able to work with everyone. So Thank You!!

4x8" paper scored in half
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Big Scalloped Circle Large

I cut out the nestability at the largest size and added it to my 4x8 folder card as a flap. I then took by 4x4 dark orange card stock and placed on the inside of the card to cover up the other half of the nestability. This was a really easy and fun card to make. i love the little peak a boo sentiment under the flap.

Please stop by Amy's blog and check out the challenge (my other super talented Design Team sister Lisa: A Mermaids Crafts was the guest designer for this challenge)

Have A Great Day!!

For my project, I'm featuring the Amazing You Stamp Set. For more details or to make this set YOURS, please click on the preview:

K Andrew Designs
What I Used:
K Andrew Design Art Stamps : Amazing You
Give A Hoot Cartridge: Bees cut at 2.5"
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Stickles: Crystal
Black and Yellow Paint
8 Popsicle Sticks
Hot Glue Gun

When I was trying to come up with a project to match this theme I had a hard time at first. It's kind of weird seeing how I run a home daycare and have done summer programs for kids and taught sunday school, but I drew a blank!! Finally having seen this cute bee cut I knew I wanted to do a picture frame for my daughter's Halloween picture. I thought it would be cute to use popsicle sticks and easy for the kids to paint themselves and then with an adults help hot glue them together. You can paint the sticks any colour to match the picture or the cut. I may put a magnet on the back or put some ribbon on it to hang it.
