The card will go to a woman who has experience Domestic Violence. I am posting about this not to win Blog candy but to help woman in a situation that is similar to something that I went through. 2 1/2 years ago I got out of a marriage that was emotionally, physically, mentally and spirtaully abusive. It wasn't until things got really bad and I had my daughter'ss saftey to think about that I finally had the courage to get out. God gave me a great family that has taken us in and kept us safe. They even sold their house which I grew up in so that my ex wouldn't find us. Everyday is a struggle to not let fear get the best of me. I am sharing this because not alot of woman in my situation have a place to go or feel like they can tell their family about what is going on. But there are people out there that will gladly help you get out. It takes time to get through all of the emotional stuff and I am still going though it. I pray that if anyone is in that situation that they will have the strength to get out and not believe the lies that the abuser tells them. I really don't want to have to use my story to help other woman ( i don't want anyone to have to go through what i went through) but I know that God has a reason for what happened and that he will use it in some way. I guess that is why I am sharing this right know, if you are reading this and in that situation, then my prayer for you is that God will be with you and help you and show you the way out!!! If you are reading this and got out then I encourage you to send a card and help someone in need. you never know how your thoughts and words could touch someone else. People are more open to people who can relate to them.
