First Box Using TTBM2

Good Morning!! Well after about 5 hours sleep I am wide awake. Guess I should have went to bed earlier then 12a.m. For some reason my daughter woke up before 5a.m and then at about 5:45a.m she started crying. I asked her several times what was wrong and then she finally responded "someone took my Dora picture off the wall". I looked at the wall and it was still there. I said "did you have a dream" she nodded her head. O boy who knew dreams started this young. Anyways as my daughter is laying in bed watching TV I thought I would get these posts up, yes these as in two. I looked at my note book and I have some challenges that I need to post my projects for as they are due tomorrow.
I was so excited that Michael's had there cartridges on sale a couple weeks ago 44.99 so I bought the TTBM2 and then the next week they went on sale for 39.99. I took in my receipt and got the difference back. I just received my scoring tip in the mail that I ordered from Ginger Snap Scraps . Talk about fast service I ordered it last Thursday she shipped it out that same day and I received it this Thursday. Considering I live in Canada where it usually takes anywhere from 2-3 weeks or more to get anything from the US. I was super impressed. The Lady that runs it is super nice and helpful as well. Thanks Cori!! If you haven't checked it out head over to the link above. She carries paper, stamps, ribbon, cricut stuff, nestabilies just to name a few.

Ok on to my box. I started out with something simple and this was actually just a test box but I decided to jazz it up a bit for the Craft Your Passion Challenges Blog. The challenge this week was Punches & Die Cuts (use at least one punch or die cut on your project). Well for mine I used both.

What I Used:
TTBM2: Page 24 cut at 6"
A Flower Punch (I will explain below)
My Creative Time : Teeny Tags Greetings
Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black
Red Ribbon

O so for the flowers I came across this blog Scraps2Treasure and was so happy to see that she used a punch that I own. Well it is my moms from along time ago. I looked through her picture tutorial and then went into my craft room to do the same thing. Well I did things alittle different (accidentally). My memory seems to be that of an 80 year olds most days. She used white flowers and inked them, I used colored paper instead. She also curled the petals using a tooth pick, for me I pinched them with my fingers and then layered them off centred and pressed down on each layer with a paint brush. Mine don't look anything like hers but I wanted to give her credit because it is where I got the idea from. I have loved making them so much that I have made about 15 of them in all different colours. They take not even 2 minutes to make and are so easy.
Anyways I better wrap this post up so I can type up the other one for today!

Have A Great Day!!

God Bless!

Kristan

  2. The only thing worse than having bad dreams is when your kids have bad dreams. You're poor sweet baby! But the one positive note is that she always has her awesome Mommy there to make her feel better!

I'm loving this box!! So do you think the whole cartridge is great and something you'll use often? I don't even have the original TBBM cart, but I see project where people have used both cartridges all the time!

    1. Hey Amy!! Alot of the times she will have only been in bed like 5 minutes and come out and say she can't sleep cuz she had a bad dream ( in know she is just trying to find an excuse to not sleep) but last night she was sleeping and then just started crying non stop so I know it was an actual dream.

I do love alot of the boxes on this cartridge. I will have to let you know more once i play with it a bit more (haven't used the score tip yet) I am hoping to try it tomorrow when my daughter is with her father.
