Good morning everyone. I though I would post my sister's birthday card before I got ready for church this morning. The baby in the family turns 18 tomorrow!! We aren't doing anything special as we have re booked our trip to Niagara Falls so we will be there all week. But it will be special for my sister because she loves Dolphins and has never seen one up close so the water shows will be great for her. Here is the card I made for her:
Here is what I used:
Wild Card Cartridge: card 5.5"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder from Once Upon A Princess set, used on outside and inside of card, embossed butterflies onto dark purple and cut them out and added pop dots on front of card.
My Pink Stamper: Sweetest Cupcakes "Happy Birthday"
Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Milled Lavender on the inside of card to make the embossing pop
Stickles: Crystal for the dots on the embossing
Buttons from the dollar store, hot glue gun
My sisters favourite colour is purple and right know she loves butterflies so I knew what I wanted to do for her card. I have found that I really love embossing and then cutting out the embossed image and adding it on top of the embossed image to give it a 3D effect.
Sadly this will probably be my last post until I get back from holidays which won't be until August 6, but I will have alot of catching up to do!!
Hope everyone is having a great summer so far
God Bless

Card using My Creative Time Stamps and A Music Video
Good morning everyone. The wake and the funeral for my grandmother went well. It wasn't a sad occasion, it was a celebration of her life. We know where she is and we are happy for her. It's bitter sweet. The night I got the message from my mom that she had passed, I was laying in bed with my 3 year old daughter. When I told her that Grandma D had passed away and was in Heaven with Jesus just had a big smile on her face and started bouncing up and down saying YAYAYA!! My first reaction was "No that's not a good thing" but as soon as the words came out of mouth I knew I was wrong and my daughter was right. Grandma D is in Heaven with Jesus celebrating her home coming. The song that came to me was "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. Grandma D doesn't have to imagine what it will be like when The Lord takes her home.
Here is the video
On to the card that I made. I made this card when she was in the hospital.
What I Used:
4x5 1/2 inch piece of paper and embossed it using a butterfly folder from the Once Upon A princess cuttlebug cricut companions. I then embossed another piece of paper in the same colour with the same folder. I cut out the three butterflies from the paper and added stickles "crystal". I took a lighter green piece of paper and stamped the sentiment on it. Sentiment and frame are from My Creative Time: Inspiring Words and Inspiring Words (Accents). I used black ink from the dollar store.
I believe the sentiment to be true. God knows how much we can handle and knows that He will be there with us to help us through the hard times in live. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I hope you watch the music video.
Thanks Kristan
Have A Blessed Day!!

Shaker card For Crafty Sprout (formally known as CricutLove)
Good morning everyone. Well it's not a really good morning for me. Monday night my grandmother passed away suddenly and tonight is the wake. It's been a rough few days but I know that she is with our Heavenly Father. I didn't think I would get this card up before the beginning of August because I was suppose to be leaving Tuesday morning for our holidays but cancelled due to the death. I find that crafting helps take my mine of things. So for todays card I made a shaker card, I have never made one before but when I saw Erika's video over at Crafty Sprouts I knew I wanted to try one. Here it is:
Here is what I used:
B is for Boys Cricut Lite Cartridge: card base 7" welded two together, words 3.5",onsie 3" I made two of them and put a 1.5" circle in the middle of one of them.
I used the plastic from the cartridge case to cover the hole. Inside I used 4 buttons and a PK face from Everyday Character Face Assortments. I inked the onsie with green ink from the dollarstore.
This inside I stamped two stamps (from inkadinkado) and then cut them out and used pop dots to adhere them. I also used a double layer of pop dots to hold the two onsies together (Erika used mounting tape but I don't own any).
This card is for my friend who just a had a baby boy a week ago.
I am entering it into Erika's shaker card challenge. You have until August 5th to get your cards linked (just follow the link above to get to Erika's blog)
God Bless

I Won A Yudu Cardshop!!!!
Good Morning!! On Monday The Shopping Channel aired, the Yudu Cardshop, The Cricut Imagine and The Martha Stewart Cake. The Offical Cricut Facebook had a contest to win a Yudu Cardshop, a Cricut Imagine Cartridge and A Martha Stewart Cricut Cake signed by Martha Stewart. All you had to do was answer 3 questions about the airing and you were entered to win. Well they only had 33 responses so I knew my chances were good but never expected to see my name on the winners list. I didn't get to check until later yesterday but I did I won the Yudu Cardshop which is the one I was going to order. I already own the Cricut Cake and I don't own an Imagine (although after watching the airing and it being $299 with 3 carts. and 2 ink I really am wanting it, but I am holding off for the E2). Anyways I don't know much about the Yudu other then watching 15 minutes of the infomercial so if anyone could give me tips or know of any blogs that show case it or You Tube Videos it would be really helpful!! Can't wait to use it, but it won't be cards I use it for, it will be diaper shirts!!

Simply Sunday: Food For Thought Challenge
Good Afternoon, it's quite gloomy were I live, there was a thunderstorm at 5a.m this morning that kept me up, it hasn't rained since but it is still dark out. Anyways Over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew there was a new Simply Sunday Challenge called Food For Thought. When I first saw this challenge I knew I wanted to do a lunch box, then I was trying to figure out what I was going to put on it and in it. Then the words "Soul Food" came to me. I was a little stumped and couldn't figure out what I was going to do with that. Then it came to me. Scriptures; the word of God (The Bible) is our "Soul Food". So here is what I made:
What I Used:
Life's A Party Cartridge: Box 6.5"
Stamps from dollar store for the words, Fiskars shell punch, purple ink from dollar store, brads from the dollar store paper from Costco and computer to print out the Scriptures.
This is going to be part of my daily devotionals and I will add more scriptures in the future.
Hope this inspires you to feed your Soul.
Have A Great Day and don't forget to hop over to Kristal's Blog and enter the challenge.

Scrappy Moms Stamps:Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Preserves
Good Morning!! I wanted to enter the Scrappy Moms Stamps challenge this week because I just received my first stamp set from them called Designers Choice. The challenge was to use the Preserves cart. or if you don't own that cart. a similar cut. I don't own the Preserves cart. so I used "Just Because" Cards for the card I made. Here it is:
Here is what i used:
"Just Because" Cards Cart.: Peaches 0.7", truck 5.5"
Scrappy Moms Stamps: Designers Choice "Sending Loads Of Love!"
Photo corner punch, white gel pen, blue ink from dollar store, and probably my most favourite thing on the card the crochet floss. I was at a yard sale last weekend and found a huge box of this stuff and was only going to buy a few colours. My mom said your not going to buy the whole box are you? I said no just a few. I asked the lady how much she wanted for the stuff and she said actually $3 for the whole box. I said I'll take it. Needless to say I have a huge box of crochet floss that you will be seeing alot of on my projects.

Simply Sunday "Fashion-ista" Challenge At Getting Cricky With K Andrew
Good morning (again), Yesterday Kristal over at Getting Cricky with KAndrew posted her Simply Sunday"Fashion-ista" Challenge. The project I made for this challenge is a shopping bag with little outfits and shoes in it. My mom calls me a shopaholic. I am a single mom so I never pay full price for anything (even if I wasn't a single mom I probably would be the same way). When I see a sale on clothes for my daughter I buy one in each colour or pattern. It's hard when you have to buy clothes for each new season, thankfully my daughter is tiny and gets to wear her clothes for two summers/spring/fall/winter instead of one. Here is my Project:
Here is what I used:
Tag,Bags,Boxes and More Cartridge: Shopping bag 6" paper from Costco, Price tags 1"
Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge: outfits/shoes and hangers all cut at 8.2" Cotton Candy Stickles on outfits
I also used purple, pink and blue ink(Dollar store) to ink each outfit/shoes, paper from Michaels Recollection
Stamp is from Michaels: Recollections-Label Me Sweet
Ribbon on bag is from Fabric Land: Craft Essentials-Wine
Thread holding the tags is from Michaels sorry I don't know the name as I threw the lable out.
Head over to Kristals blog (link above) to join in the challenge, it ends July 16th at Midnight

Very Fast Birthday Card
As promised I am back to show you a very quick and easy birthday card. Friday morning after doing my blogger stuff I checked facebook and saw that it was a girl that I babysit for birthday. I had forgotten about it(she had an early party in April so I had forgot her birhtday was in July). This card probably only took me like not even 5 minutes to make. We were not looking after her daughter Friday but she was stopping by with our pay, so I didn't know when she was coming. Here is the card:
What I used: CuttleBug Embossing folder:Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday stamp from Michaels(1.50 bin)
Chipboard Butterfly
Card stock, sorry I don't know measurements as I was in a hurry and didn't really measure. Cardstock is from Michaels I am pretty sure it is one of the recollection stack.
Have a great night!!

Simply Sunday:Summer Time Fun Challenge
Kristal over at Getting Cricky With K Andrews had a Simply Sunday Challenge this week doing a project with Summer Time Fun!! This summer I am taking my daughter to Marineland ( two weeks I can't wait). I decided to do an explosion box to look like an aquarium that I will put our pictures in from our trip. It is not fully complete as I am waiting for Kristals Splashtastic Summer Stamp set to arrive. Here is my entry:
Sorry pictures are a little dark!!
Here is what I used:
Fabulous Finds Cartridge: Box 3.7" and welded 4 of them together
Create A Critter Cartridge: Jelly Fish 1"
Whale 1.6"
Octopus 1.5"
Fish 1"
Sea Weed 3"
Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge: Outside panels 3.5" frosted lace stickles on all of them
Turtle 1.7"
Shells 2"
Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge: Girl 3"
Water(waves) 1" baby blue stickles
Doodle Charms Cartridge: Sea Horse 1.8"
I also used gems from the dollar store for all the animals eyes. The inside of the explosion box I cut
3 1/2" x10 1/2" piece of blue cardstock(Michaels) and scored it at 3 1/2 "and 7". I then used my ATG gun to glue the pieces on to the flaps of the inside of the box. This is where I will add the stamps and the pictures!! I used pop dots on the girl and the waves. For the outside of the box I used a plastic bag cut up to tape around each of the panels to look like the glass of a fish tank.
I will post pictures once the stamps and pictures are added. Thanks
P.S you still have few more hours to enter Kristals Challenge (ends at Midnight tonight)

Tara over at Homemade Happiness hosted a Canada Day Blog Hop and asked that we make something and link it back to her blog. I wanted to do a layout but I wanted to do something different on it. I cut out two pieces of white card stock and 4 pieces of red card stock to make the side-ways Canada flags that my daughters pictures will go in.
