Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good Morning!! Happy Thanksgiving to my American Followers!! I must say I just received the sets yesterday and in about 20 minutes I had come up with at least 20 different mix and match sentiments from the Winter Wishes set. I think this is going to be my favourite set!!  Good Morning!! What a weekend Saturday I was out of town shopping and then Sunday I had church in the morning. Also on Sunday I was able to start 2 layouts, a Gift Card Holder and cut out 24 numbers. On top of that I hopped through 2 hops, a Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew got some laundry done and o did I mention some sleep LOL!!  It was a very busy weekend and i glad it is over. Today I would like to show you a card that I made last week.

This is the one stamp set that I seem to use alot, which is kind of funny because I am not a coffee or tea drinker. It has so many mix and match sentiments on it that could be used for any occasion, most of K Andrew Design Stamp sets are mix and match!! They are great stamps to work with and at least $1 from each set goes to a different charity. It makes me feel good knowing that I am not only helping support Kristal and her family but I am also contributing to different charities when I buy these stamp sets.

Simply Sunday Challenge:Give Thanks

Good Afternoon!! This is my first time doing a Simply Sunday Challenge as one of the DT Members over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew. The Challenge was to create a project with the "Give Thanks" theme in mind, something we are thankful for. With Thanksgiving just around the corner (well for people in the US, we already celebrated it here in Canada), this is a very fitting theme. I decided to do a bookmark for my bible for this challenge:

Holiday Wishes Blog Hop

Good Evening!! There is a hop going on right know over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew were  half of my very talented and super sweet Design Team sisters are showing you there projects that they made. The theme is Holiday Wishes we were asked to create something with a Christmas, winter, snowman type theme. I decide to make a card even though I am not in the hop. My Memories Winner/ Reminder /Yahoo!!

Good Morning!! Ok so i have three things to tell you about this morning. First off I recieved my Yourstory in the mail yesterday!! After waiting all day and thinking it wasn't coming, I saw someone coming to the front door and figured it was the man delivering the paper. So I waited til he was gone and wenr to the mail box. inside was the paper:( When I came back in my dad and mom were coming in the side door with a huge box and a little one on top!! I knew it was here!!! I don't know what I was more excited about first, the fact that it was here or that I didn't have to pay taxes or duties. Someone that lives near me had said when she ordered from cricutmachine.com that she had to pay taxes and duties at the door. Well I guess I lucked out!! Inside the box was the machine, 5 different size books, alot of laminating pouches and a heavy duty trimmer. In the smaller box was my Pooh and Friends Cartridge! When my mom asked me what I had ordered this time LOL I told her and told her the price, her reply " Why didn't you order me one?" it would have been silly to order her one when we live under the same roof!!

Ok second on my list is a reminder of the Getting Cricky Hop that starts tonight at 9p.m EST HERE!! Also come back here around 9p.m and I will have  a project for the hop as well.  I have always loved the look of paper piecing but don't have any programs for it, I have tried printing them out and hand cutting them but they always look messy. I decided to study the pictures on the web and created my own paper piecing using the Gypsy and George Basic Shapes Cartridge. This is the first one that I did and I just can't part with it, so I will be hanging this up in my craft room. My daughter is the one who picked out the sentiment for it, I personally thing she did a great job!!

Two Pink Peas Silence Hides Violence Raffle

Good Morning!!  I just came across Terri from Two Pink Peas blog post and it really hits home for me. She is having a raffle to help stomp out Domestic Violence. As some of you may know from previous posts that I was in a domesic violent marriage. I got out almost 3 years ago. Terri's friend is still in the situation and she is trying to raise money to help her as she does not have family around to support her in leaving. You Are... Sweet ( K. Andrew Designs)

Good Morning!! I am not really a big fan of it getting dark early at night and then it being bright early in the morning!! The time change this weekend has messed up my daughters sleep, she is waking up way earlier then normal. Some people would count their blessings that she sleeps past 6a.m but when she normally has to be woken up at 8a.m and she is now waking up before 7a.m she tends to be alittle cranky all day!! How did your kids adjust to the change??

Anyways I have a very simple little card that I put together that went out in the mail yesterday for one of my bloggy friends!!

This Little Light of Mine!!

Good Afternoon!! I have decided that every Sunday I am going to post a scripture on my blog. The scripture will come from Crystal Cathedral Ministries. I read the devotional every morning when I first wake up. It's a great way to start my morning, hearing a word from the Lord. The reason I have decided to do this is because in church today the pastor was talking about being  "A Living Stone" shining our light for people to see. He gave us 4 places where God could be calling us to be "A Living Stone"
1. Workplace Communities
2. Hobby Communities
3. Educational Communities
4. Neighborhood Communities

I believe that we are called to be a light in all 4 of these areas.
I do a home daycare and none of the parents that we babysit for are Christians. We have had many opportunities to pray with one little girl and her mom and we tell them that we are continually praying for them.
Well you all know what my hobby is "crafting" that is why I am sharing my faith with you all as a way to shine my light. I also want to use my crafting locally to help spread the word of God, but have yet to figure out how God wants to use me in this area.
Education, although I am out of school,  one of the men in church said how parents are part of education, teaching our children. I have a 3 year old little girl who I pray will be a woman of God when she grows up, but in order for her to do that I must teach her from an early age about God. She loves Sunday School and sings all the worship songs, she asks me to pray with her before she goes to see her Father (we are separated), she won't go to sleep without me praying and we are working on praying before we eat (she thinks we pray because the food is too hot lol). God has in trusted me with this precious little girl and even though she doesn't have a earthly father who is always present I want her to know she has a Heavenly Father who is always with her.
Neighborhood, we moved 2 years ago out of our neighborhood for safety reasons concerning my daughters father. We have gotten to know the people next door. But when I think of Neighborhood I don't just think of people who live next door or down the street. I believe that neighborhood is the community you live in. We have many outreaches at our church, some of which include pregnancy crisis centre, woman's shelter as well as we have different events that are free to bring the people who live near the church in.

I really felt that I needed to share this today. Maybe you are like me and have been search to see where God wants you to be and what your ministry is. Maybe you don't even know God. I invite you today to feel free to email me if you have any questions about my faith. I would be more than happy to answer any questions.

I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Therefore, I will call upon Him as long as I live. The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. NEW JUNIOR DT MEMBER FOR GETTING CRICKY!!!

I am so excited and would have posted this sooner but I was out of town today!! Last night Kristal over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew had a Ustream and a blog hop (blog hop still going on until tomorrow night). She showed us her new stamps and announced her new Junior DT  Members and guess what she asked me to be one of them!!! And of course I said yes, super excited!! Kristal is such an amazing, caring, giving and talented lady and I am so honored to be part of her team!! I love working with her stamps not only because they are amazing but because she donates at least $1 from each stamp set to different charities, here is the list of charities she donates to: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Doorways Shelter for Women and Children really hits home for me as I was a victim of Domestic Violence but I am now a Survivor!! Thank you Kristal for all the hard work you do, you truly are a blessing!! Congrats to the rest of the DT members, can't wait to work with you all!!

We Have A Winner!!

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

Good Afternoon!! I came across The Cuttlebug Spot's post with their new challenge and thought that I would enter it. I have been following their blog but they haven't posted in awhile (they were taking a break). I have never entered one of their challenges before and I thought hey why not!! I love my cuttlebug and really needed to get back into using!! The challenge as is follows:

Anything Goes.... yes that means simply post a newly created project for their challenge to be entered to win a prize.  This is their way of welcoming you back to their blog. 
Here is what I made (my daughter helped)

What "we" used:

Cuttlebug folders :Butterflies in Flight, Beep Beep, Roses
Pink and Purple ink from Dollarstore
Scrappy Moms Stamps:Designers Choice
Ribbon from FabricLand
Ovals (cut using cricut but can't remember what cartridge, these were sitting around left over from another project)

I used three different techniques of embossing. The first was taking the three ovals and taping them together and embossing them. The second was taking the embossed image (butterfly) and inking it then cutting it out. The third was inking the embossing folder and placing the paper in it and running it through the cuttlebug. My daughter loves using the cuttlebug so she was the one turning the nob.

So I finally got around to making my card using the Heritage Cartridge that you all voted for using my poll!!I also am entering this card into Getting Cricky with K Andrew Simply Sunday Colour Challenge.

I decided not to put any sentiments on the card because I don't own Kristal's Fall-O-Ween Stamp set yet  and because I am entering this into her challenge I didn't want to use another company's stamps!! Head over to her blog to enter your orange and black creations!!

Halloween Pictures and My First Giveaway!!

Good Afternoon!!Sunday and Monday were crazy days for me. My mom and I decided to have a Halloween party for the daycare kids, so we had treat bags, pumpkin carving, cake pops, cupcakes, sandwiches, veggies and dip and colouring pages to get organized Sunday. Here are some pictures of yesterdays party:

Ok I know there was alot pictures, this only a tenth of the pictures that were taken. I didn't post any pictures of the other kids because I don't have permission!!  My daughter had so much fun trick or treating last night. At one house the lady said how cute she was and her response was " I am a nice bee I don't sting". Another house she almost fell and then she said "I crossed my legs so I wouldn't fall".

Ok so I do have my first giveaway. It will be a surprise, I will announce what it is when I announce the winner. The requirements are:
