Gift Card Holder

Good Afternoon!! I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas!! Other than my brother having to go home sick we had a good one!! This morning we got up early an went shopping. Here in Canada it is called Boxing Day sales (kind of like Black Friday). This year the stores were bare, we were in and out in no time. I had received three gift cards from Michael's for Christmas so that was my second stop this morning as they had all there cuttlebug stuff on sale for 50% off plus I had an extra 25 % off coupon so I got a few of those. As well they had there spellbinders nestabilities on for 30% off and the extra 25%. And the last thing I got there was a sizzix die for 50% off and the extra 25%!!  I bought all my daughter's stocking stuffers for next year as well as they were all 755 off at Claire's. Bought a couple sweaters and dvd\s and I think that is about it!!

Anyways I wanted to post the Gift Card holder I made for my parents for Christmas:

  4. I watched the video link you posted...this is such a cool idea! And yours came out awesome!!

I'm glad you like the calendars so far! They were SUCH a pain in the bootie! They took me two full months to make, and that was working on them almost every day. It turned out to be a WAY bigger project than I anticipated. I used the Designer's Calendar cartridge and literally cut the grids for each month, the days of the week, and the names of the months....times TWO since I was making two calendars. So that's 24grids, 24 months, and 168 days of the week! I was going to cut out all the numbers for the days too, but NO WAY!!! I tried it for one month...NOPE! And then of course, all the holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries, for the whole year times two! And some of those cuts were tiny. And then let's not forget that I had to make 24 scrapbook pages too! WHEW!

I sound like a martyr, when actually I had a lot of fun. I just got panicked the last two weeks when I started running out of time. But everybody got them in time and loved them, so I'm a happy girl!

I have the next two months posting in a few minutes and then the next two, tomorrow night. Then I'll do the next sequence probably on New Years day or the day after.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

  8. WOW! What great deals! And good for you buying next year's stocking stuffers already. I've already bought quite a few as well - and people laugh at me. I'm glad to know there is somebody else in town who thinks the way I do!
What a great gift card holder! The contrast of the burgundy and white is fantastic!
